If you are a fan of TOS, you remember the very shiny and tight dress uniforms they wore for special occasions. This sweatshirt is designed with a print inspired by the captain's and first officers' dress uniforms. This sweatshirt has a very nice shine to it. In photos much of the detailing looks real, but it is all part of the print.
This is intended to be a fun costume, not an authentic wardrobe reproduction. That is why it is not $200. All of the design elements are part of the print. There are no actual ribbons or medals. That said, it is very nice!
